The Wind International has firmly established itself as a leading beacon in property development, at all of its various stages. Its origins date back to the early 1980’s when the young architect-cum-entrepreneur, Dr. Mahmoud Reza Azizi, Phd in Architecture & Urban Development and a Doctorate in Civil Engineering from The University of Rome, embarked upon resort development in Iran. To that end, Farayand Architectural Engineering Consultancy was set up in the capital, Tehran. It became involved in major projects in the country, which included the Ramsar and Sheraton hotels, the Mahalati Village, three metro stations and the Jervera Tourist Village, among others.

In the early 1990’s, Farayand expanded its operations to Dubai. It went on to establish affiliate entities in the region by a series of joint ventures with leading engineering consultants and designers. However, it was the emergence of freehold property in

the emirate that presented the perfect opportunity for Wind International to gain a foothold in the market.

To that end, in 2002, Quest International Design and Property Development was formed as the local representative of Wind International. It would go on to undertake the designing, financing and development of properties of all kinds in the UAE. The Wind FZ-LLC was, subsequently, established to manage the properties. Wind Properties was later formed as a real estate brokerage to manage property sales, not confined to only those developed by its sister company. Wind International went on to unveil its first two major high-rises in Dubai, duly named Wind Tower’s I & II, at the Jumeirah Lake Towers. It also has projects, awaiting launch, in its portfolio, in Dubailand, Jumeirah Village and The World.
