* Emaar wins $2b contract in Egypt
Egypt 's Ministry of Investment in has awarded a $2 billion (Dh7.36 billion) contract to Emaar Properties to build a residential project in the country.
Egypt 's Minister of Investments, Mahmoud Mohieddin, approved the Emaar bid after extended negotiations.
Emaar will buy four million square metres in Al Zahraa Al Maqtam for the project, which will include seven villages, hotels and towers, in addition to hospitals, schools, mosques, a golf course and entertainment services.
The project will be completed in six years.A Wind Group Company
