* DUBAI LOGISTICS CITY TO MAKE INTERNATIONAL EXPO DEBUT IN GERMANY

Dubai Logistics City, a key component of the world's first integrated logistics and multi-modal transport platform, is to make its international exhibition debut at TransportLogistic/Air Cargo Europe 2005.

The conference and exhibition will take place in Munich from May 31-June 3.

"This is the ideal occasion for the international launch of Dubai Logistics City bringing together, as it does, the important TransportLogistic forum and Air Cargo Europe, the ultimate business event for those involved in the global distribution of goods by air. Together the two provide a seamless logistics solution - much as DLC is a part of the world's first integrated logistics and multi-modal transport platform," said Roland Zibell, Project Director, DLC.

On June 1st Zibell will address the TransportLogistic conference, while DLC will have a stand at Air Cargo Europe.

"We have a great, ground-breaking story to tell and it is important we meet the international industry face-to-face to get their buy-in to what is a historic move in the global logistics industry. We anticipate strong feedback," said a DLC Marketing official.

DLC together with Jebel Ali Port and the new Jebel Ali International Airport (JXB) have been launched by the Dubai government as the industry's first integrated logistics and multi-modal transport platform and is billed as "a quantum leap for the logistics business."

DLC is being positioned as the preferred location for businesses which require, or offer, logistics and multi-modal transport services to the GCC, the wider Middle East, India, Africa and the CIS - a market of more than two billion consumers.

"These events will attract from across the full spectrum of the logistics industry, from forwarders to freight liner operators, many, we anticipate, will become DLC customers," said the DLC official.

Spread over 25 square kilometres, DLC will begin operating 2007. It will be adjacent to JXB, which will start operations as a freighter airport also 2007. JXB is designed to eventually handle more than 12 million tons of air cargo annually in up to 16 air cargo terminals, all designed to handle the new generation Airbus A380-800F freighter version of the giant airliner.

DLC will provide land plots for dedicated industrial businesses, trading companies, distributors and logistics service providers; shared facilities, such as warehouses and offices as well as modern air-side cargo handling facilities.

"It is a unique platform and an outstanding regional business landmark. It considerably strengthens Dubai's position as a regional and international logistics hub," added the DLC official.
